![]() ![]() ![]() A week later, you are back for the results. You’d been feeling generally terrible for a while now and blamed it on winter and it being the cold season. Harry: You thought it was nothing, but Harry didn’t. Stop being strong for a moment and let me be strong for you.” But, screw me, it’s back!” Zayn comes over to you and wraps you up tightly in his arms. I’ve got cancer, again! Stupid cancer wouldn’t leave me alone! I had it for ten years and I finally got rid of it. You’re not a doctor, are you?” He pauses before he says, “(Y/N), what’s going on? You’re not pregnant, are you?” You laugh desperately again and say, “I wish! I really wish! But, no. He puts down his drink and says, “Baby, what’s wrong? What did somebody say to you? I can fix it.” You bark out a hopeless laugh and say, “Oh, you can’t fix this, Zayn. “There she is!” Zayn laughs when you walk it. You’d completely forgotten about the get-together that he was hosting tonight. When you get there, he’s laughing it off with the rest of the boys. You drive to Zayn’s place in a sort of stupor, knowing you’re starting up treatment again in two days. You had Zayn, the best part of your still relatively new cancer-free life. You had moved on with your life, finally trying to make friends that didn’t have cancer like you, people who never knew you had it in the first place. You’d defeated cancer once already, but it was back, worse than ever before. You thought it was over when you were sixteen. You’re going to be okay.” He holds you as you cry, letting you know he truly is there for you. Louis is next to you on the ground in a second, saying, “I’m right here, love. “I have cancer,” you say, barely above a whisper, but they all hear you. You don’t know how to say it, so you just blurt it out. You sink to the ground because you can’t do this anymore. Everyone has noticed how off you’ve been, so they quiet down and turn their attention to you. “Is something wrong, (Y/N)?” Danielle asks you. You’re with him, the boys, and the other girlfriends after the show, laughing and having a great time. When you drive to London after your first treatment, you still don’t know how to tell him. Louis: None of your family know what to say when you tell them you have cancer. I’m never going to let you go.” You look at him and say, “Promise?” He smiles at you and says, “I promise.” I’ll be with you every single step of the way. The doctor has high hopes and I know you’re strong enough to fight this. I’m really, really scared.” He holds your hand and says, “Don’t worry, sweetheart. You turn to Liam and say, “Liam, I’m scared. The word just keeps replaying in your mind as you get in the car. The first treatment is in five days.” He hands Liam a mess of paperwork, but you’re not even paying attention. I’ve got high hopes for it, seeing as her cancer doesn’t seem to have spread that much and we’ve caught it early. He starts to rub smooth circles on your back and asks the doctor what his plan is to help you. Your body begins to shake and your boyfriend is there for you a second later. You grasp your hands together as you start to cry. Liam: The second those three words leave the doctor’s mouth, they’re quickly followed with, “I’m sorry,” but you sit there and think that he’s not the one who has cancer. #35: You Have Cancer (Part One) - preferencesfordirectioners ![]()
